Anthony Vigil was raised in Southern California where he attended college and law school.

 

Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona and then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of La Verne College of Law.  While attending college and thereafter, Anthony spent over five years combined in banking and mortgage banking at large banking institutions.

 

Upon graduating law school in 2008 and being admitted to the California Bar, Anthony joined one of the largest debtor bankruptcy law firms in Southern California as a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney.  In his capacity, Anthony helped numerous clients file for bankruptcy relief and successfully obtain their bankruptcy discharge.  Anthony gained extensive experience in bankruptcy law during his years of employment with the firm and was quickly promoted to Managing Attorney of the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Department.  Anthony managed the department and it’s staff of attorneys and paralegals that specialized in Debtor Chapter 13 filings.  He left the firm to build his own law practice.

 

Anthony has extensive experience in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy filings, litigation and transactions.  He also has experience in immigration, business law and civil litigation.

He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars related to bankruptcy and foreclosure defense.  He has also been Adjunct Faculty at a national university where he taught Business Law at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

 

Anthony is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Court Central District of California, U.S. District Court Southern District Court of California, U.S. District Court District of Hawai’i and the Supreme Court of Hawai’i.  He is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Hawai’i, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
